A Simple Guide to Installing a NSF Electric Operated Valve

For those that are in the business of making home appliances or do not have the time to learn about electrical safety, a good nSF electric operated valve can make all the difference. With these types of devices you will be able to use your old bathroom plumbing and not have to deal with the extra work it takes to make it run smoothly.

These devices are just like a standard bathroom faucet, only they are much more safe and dependable. Instead of having the water run through a hose, it is connected directly to an electric motor that is driven by a timer. If the water in the tank runs out you will not need to turn on the water as long as there is electric in the tank. You will simply have to check to see if the battery power is still running.

The nSF is quite simple to use. It will need to be installed correctly to prevent water damage to the pipes and the unit itself. The first step is to find out exactly where the main supply of water to your house is coming from and then place the nSF in place.

The next step in installing a nSF electric operated valve is to connect the main supply to the battery. This is usually done with a standard 120 volt outlet. You will need to have an electrical outlet installed in the room that the appliance is going to be placed in. Once the electrical outlets have been located, you will need to make sure that you are plugging in the correct outlet. Many people that have electric faucets will not have the appropriate outlet for the faucet and therefore will not be able to plug it into the wall.

After you have connected the nSF electric operated valve to the wall and the outlet, you will be ready to put the unit in the room. When it is first installed it will take some time for it to set up properly. You will need to keep it on the ground so that it does not sit in water. You will want to keep the area around the faucet clear so that water does not get into it. You will also want to turn on the water to test that the battery is working before you go about using it.

Do not ever try to force the faucet open when you are not sure that it is connected properly. If water has gotten into the faucet it could very well cause a serious problem with the faucet and possibly the house itself. Always make sure you have a back-up plan just in case something like this should happen. Even if you are not in a rush, you should still take a few minutes to ensure that everything is okay. Make sure that you check the batteries every couple of weeks for maintenance to make sure that they are in good condition.
